Lunch in Henley

It is not often that there is a family function where you have not seen everybody for years, and it then feels like the last time you saw everybody was last weekend - but that is how it seemed on Sunday when the whole crew met up. The list of family members at lunch reads like this: Mike & Mary, Andrea & Ev, John & Sean, Angus & Sarah, Isabella, Ruby and Thomas. We have finally managed to get it together!

After lunch at a great pizza restaurant in Henley, the whole crew decamped to a pub around the corner to watch the Springboks play Fiji to go through to the semi-finals of the RWC. Our extended family constituted almost 20% - 30% of the attendance in a pub - of which the total were almost exclusively South African’s that were getting very nervous at times - but we managed to get through the game in one piece. It was great to see everybody and hopefully it will not be another 6+ years before we see everybody again. Click here to see some of the photo’s from the day.
